Rescue Dog

Wallaby is a 1.5 year old medium energy/drive Cattle dog mix. He is sweet, loveable and cuddly when he is relaxed. He follows me everywhere.

He is very agile and has started basic agility training with a cone, jumps, tunnel and tire. He is very smart and learns quickly. He walks well on a leash and knows sit, down, stay, touch, look and wait. He understands no, off & drop it. We have been working on his impulse control and he sits at the door and when I touch the handle and waits for it to be opened.

He is also being fed by handfuls in his bowl and sits and waits quietly until being told to “get it”. He has a very good recall. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly throughout the night. He has no problem going into his crate. He enjoys walks, agility training, fetch, chewing his bones and hanging with me, in my lap, by my side, at my feet or just in the same area. He is very people focused and driven.

Wallaby can be excitable and exhibits typical herding dog behaviors. He has made significant improvement with this. He still has some house breaking issues which we are working on. I have two other dogs and they can sit and take turns getting treats for tricks.
