Phantom is ready to find his forever home!
He’s a 7 month old border collie and he is everything you’d expect a young border collie to be; spunky, smart, and super sweet!
Phantom has never met a stranger. He is so happy to meet people of all ages and types with a wriggly butt and a cute little prance. At home he always wants attention from his people, but he is crate trained and can settle quietly when there needs to be down time. He rides well in the car in a crate.
He has a high enough play and food drive, natural handler focus, and a solid temperament for a sport home, but also would do well in an active pet home because he’s such a nice dog. He would pick up obedience, rally, and agility quickly since he’s so eager to please. He would also be great at dock diving because he loves water and toys so much. He has a fearless temperament and is always down to try something new.
He is super dog and cat friendly. He may want to chase cats if they run from him, but he adjusts quickly and now mostly ignores the 3 cats in his foster home. No reactivity when he sees dogs, bikes, joggers on walks.
He loves water and playing with toys, especially a flirt pole! Since he is still a baby and very curious about the world via putting things in his mouth, he needs to be supervised with toys and a puppy proof house is a must!
Phantom is great with nail trims and baths. He doesn’t mind being touched all over his body and tolerates all handling. He’s neutered and up to date on vaccines.
