Meet Stone!
Stone is doing great
in his new foster home!
Here are a couple of updates
from his new foster mom:
Stone is doing great and settled in quickly. In two weeks he's pick up on sit, down, go to a cot, hand touches, spin left and right, trading toys for treats or toys for toys, going around a jump wing, and some control unleashed exercises. He's a busy guy with a great brain who loves to learn and train. He will make someone a great sport dog or very active companion so far.
Hi! He is doing well. He's a great agility, fast cat, coursing, trick, and nose work candidate. Regarding other dogs, so far definitely no small animals. Prey drive is too high. He has gone for 1 mile walks side by side with our 30 pound hound and had no concerning signs in controlled environment like that. He also went to work with me at the vet yesterday and hung out in the break room at lunch with a coworkers dog but also all controlled and on a leash. Will slowly try him with medium to large dogs in a more free environment soon
Stone is a neutered black/white border collie mix about a year old and 29 pounds.
Stone is a sweet boy that loves pats and wants to be by your side.
If you are looking for an agility or trick dog - this is your man! He is very food motivated, smart, learns tricks quickly and is a super athlete.
Stone is house trained and settles down in his crate nicely at night.
Griffin, lower right
He is a high energy guy who needs a confident person experienced in training. Stone is working on his manners and channeling his natural zest for life.
Because of his energy level, he will need a slow introduction to other dogs.
Stone is being fostered in Summerduck VA
